Interfacing High-Speed Data Converters

April 18, 2008 -- ADCs (analog-to-digital converters) employ technology to sample and capture analog signals with high precision and at fast sampling rates. The complexity of data converters increases with high sampling rates and/or high number of bits. Data converters are specified with exact input conditions, which you have to adhere to in order to achieve the ultimate performance. It is a challenge to scale, drive, and interface the analog signal to the ADC input. This article explores techniques to interface analog signals to high-speed data converters.
