July 2, 2012 -- SRS Labs, Inc. announced that the company's mobile audio-enhancement solution suite, TruMedia, has been successfully implemented within Qualcomm's Hexagon DSP platforms, which are available on Qualcomm's Snapdragon processors. Qualcomm first began making SRS TruMedia available to OEMs with the initial Snapdragon S4 processor.

The unification of TruMedia and Snapdragon platforms allows Qualcomm's OEM and ODM customers to offer immersive HD audio while significantly reducing time-to-market. In addition, Qualcomm customers will have access to SRS 5.1, an advanced headphone surround solution designed to deliver an immersive surround sound experience over headphones for an even more engaging mobile video experience, as well as SRS WOW HD, SRS' most-popular mobile audio-enhancement solution, designed to deliver a studio-quality music experience by expanding the soundstage and creating a deep, rich bass response.

Utilizing built-in speaker(s), SRS TruMedia enables mobile phones to deliver an immersive audio experience, with a notably wider sound field, coupled with deeper bass, clearer vocals and enhanced midrange performance. When headphones are attached, SRS TruMedia provides a remarkably natural surround sound, enhanced bass and crisper vocals.
