All banner ads on SOCcentral are run-of-site (RoS).

As an additional benefit of sponsorship, all SOCcentral content related to a sponsor — news; magazine & journal articles online; whitepapers, application notes or data sheets; seminars, workshops, and webcasts; and directory entries — is displayed first in any Editorial Category listing or Keyword search of the site, over-riding the alphabetical or date ordering normally used when displaying content.

There are several websites currently serving the SoC/ASIC/FPGA/EDA/IP community in some way. Some are part of a broader editorial charter, and some are targeted at one or two aspects of the technologies involved and SoC, ASIC and programmable logic design. None of these websites, however, covers SoC design, ASICs, FPGAs, EDA tools, and IP as comprehensively as does SOCcentral.

While SOCcentral's value to its engineering audience is a key factor in the decision to become a sponsor, cost is especially important in this environment of continually tight budgets. All sponsorships are contracted for a 3-month period. 6-month sponsorships receive a 5% discount and 12-month sponsorships receive a 10% discount.

The Designer's Mall Program

To make SOCcentral.com visitors more accessible to start-ups and suppliers of EDA tools and IP with limited advertising budgets, we also offer the pay-per-click (PPC) Designer's Mall program.

In contrast to other PPC programs an advertiser's position in the Designer's Mall is not determined by the amount that's bid. Advertisers are billed a fixed amount for a pre-determined number of clicks (100, 200, etc.). Up to five advertisers can appear in the Designer's Mall at any one time, and the position (first, second, third, etc.) is determined randomly, so that every advertiser receives the same exposure over time.

The Designer's Mall appears on the SOCcentral.com Home Page and the home page of every technology and editorial category (e.g., EDA/EDA Tools, FPGAs/PLDs/CPLDs, Intellectual Property, News, Special Topics, etc.). The Designer's Mall also appears and at the bottom of every individual item of content when it's viewed.

As an advertiser in the Designer's Mall program, you can rotate any number of different ads into your position, each with a headline (which links to your specified URL) that's up to 50 characters in length, and a message up to 250 characters in length. Both the headline and message are approximately 9 pixels in height (html font size=2) and you are free to use boldface, italic and color text in your message.
