October 9, 2008 -- Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. has completed its purchase of privately held Intoto, Inc., a provider of software platform products for networking and communications equipment manufacturers. The transaction represents another step in Freescale’s strategy to deliver comprehensive solutions for its QorIQ communications platforms. QorIQ communications platforms are the next-generation evolution of Freescale’s PowerQUICC communications processors.
With this transaction, Freescale announces the appointment of former Intoto CEO Sathyan Iyengar as a vice president within the company’s Networking Systems Division.
